PUBLIC ART
My art has an apparent relationship to architectural principles through repetition of modules and geometric forms.
It does not make an arbitrarily connection to the architecture, but connects through context and relations created by conditions in the building.
I choose materials and develop techniques in relation to the idea and context. The place, the room, the function always defines the framework of my art and determines the choice of expression and means, format and material. Through a numerous public commissions I have explored this in relation to architectural space and different materials.
KUNST I OFFENTLIG ROM
Min kunst har klare relasjoner til arkitektoniske prinsipper gjennom repetisjon av moduler og geometriske former. Den knytter seg ikke vilkårlig til arkitekturen, men gjennom sammenheng og relasjoner som skapes av premisser i bygget.
Jeg velger materialer og utvikler teknikker i forhold til idé og kontekst. Stedet, rommet, funksjonen definerer alltid rammene for mitt arbeid og er bestemmende for valg av uttrykk og virkemidler, format og materiale. Gjennom en rekke utsmykkingsoppdrag har jeg utforsket dette både i forhold til arkitektoniske rom og i ulike materialer
